“Tiarn is slowly blooming with her style of lush, dreamy sonic soundscapes that wash over the listener like a comforting wave”
- Melanie Griffiths, Amnplify

Tiarn Toni is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores music through the lens of dance and design. Tiarn’s journey into music began a few years ago after an injury ended her career as a dance teacher, leading her to search for a new purpose. Her vocals have been described as a "magical blend of coldness, melancholy, and defiance," while her production adopts a nuanced fusion of alternative country and indie folk.
Tiarn’s genre-twisting style leaves the listener with a mix of emotions, reminiscent of the past but hopeful for the future. She returned to university to study a Diploma of Music, where she learned the finer details of composition and songwriting.
This eventually led to the success of her debut compositional work titled “Paracosm” for contemporary dance company Scimm. Dance in 2022.
As a solo artist, Tiarn has released a series of genre-bending singles over the past 2 years. She cites her past experiences growing up on a sugar cane farm in regional Queensland as the inspiration behind her gradual pivot into the alternative country music scene.

“Small Country Hometown is an alt-country song that was brought to life after Tiarn’s annual summer road trip home to Bundaberg, Queensland left her missing the simple things in life.
Written, recorded, and produced by Tiarn, Small Country Hometown explores the innate feeling that many have to leave the place they grew up, to create a storyline of their own rather than the one plagued by childhood and expectations. But sometimes the grass isn’t always greener and the things you grow up despising in adolescence become the very things you find yourself grateful to have lived, and long to experience again as the years go on.
Glittered with lap steel guitar and cinematic flare, Small Country Hometown celebrates the quiet life and pays homage to the peace and community country life can give. In other words, be careful what you wish for, because when you get it, you might just want to go back!”
